Ukraine’s industrial production grew by 7.6 % and GDP - by 1% in February 2016
Ukraine’s industrial production in February grew by 7.6% and GDP grew by 1%. These are real signs of macroeconomic stabilization, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined at a Government’s meeting on Wednesday, 23 March.
The Prime Minister stressed that the State Statistics Service of Ukraine issued relevant data on the results of the industrial activity in January-February 2016.
Macroeconomic stabilization, according to the Prime Minister, is possible only "in case we continue to pursue the reforms that the Government has been carrying out for the last two years".
The Prime Minister stressed the need for cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, international institutions, "which help Ukraine provided that Ukraine helps itself".
"That's why we need in the first place political stability and political responsibility of all political forces, which in 2014 won the elections, formed a coalition, which should focus not on the provisional ratings of their own political parties, but the ratings of the country. Every politician in the country must fight for a rise in GDP," he stressed.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has expressed hope that the political crisis to be resolved as soon as possible. "I clearly stated two ways out of the political crisis. I will accept any of these ways I look forward to further decisions from the coalition and especially the largest faction Petro Poroshenko Bloc and personally from the President," emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
